Social Contract Theory

Understanding Social Contract Theory as a more consistent aspect of our lives is important to not only understanding government, but how we relate to each other individuall as well.
After reading about and going over materials that outline this moral theory, do you think that it is something we should continue to use in understanding the relationships we have with friends, families, institutions, and people in positions of power?
