Comments (2 points)

 

0 / 2 student did not comment on classmates’ posts, or did not provide a comment with any substance (e.g. “good post!” with no explanation at all)

1 / 2 student provided one substantive comment or provided two minimal comments

2 / 2 student provided a substantive comment on two or more classmates’ posts

 

Post (6 points)

Half points may be assigned if a post meets many but not all of the criteria for a given grade

· Student makes some connections that extend beyond the lectures / videos

· Post goes beyond description in analyzing the topic

· Post is assigned length

· Post is mostly free of grammatical errors and is clear and easy to understand

· Post somewhat or mostly engages the assigned topic

· Student engages with the text(s) at hand mostly on a surface level

· Student makes few connections that extend beyond the lectures / videos

· Post is mostly descriptive, and does not analyze the topic sufficiently

· Post is assigned length, or close to the assigned length

· Post has grammatical and mechanical errors, but is still relatively easy to understand

 

3 and below

· Post fails to adhere to the requirements and/or fails to meet the general criteria listed above.
